Choose your vibrator

A vibrator is a female sex toy with an internal motor that makes it vibrate. They were traditionally designed for clitoral stimulation but now come in a variety of shapes, sizes and designs for internal, external and dual stimulation. Common vibrators include clit sucker, clit sucking toy, magic wand vibrators, Rose Vibrators, remote vibrators, small vibrators, and thrusting vibrators.

Vibrators can help you stimulate hard-to-find erogenous zones like the G-spot or prostate, they can get you an orgasm quickly and help you understand your body and the way you like to be touched. But there are so many types of vibrators, it can be hard to know where to start looking for the right one (or two). To make sure you're having fun, we've put together a helpful little guide on using your vibrator.

Let's start with vaginal vibrators, probably the most well-known version. Sometimes called classic vibrators, they are designed for internal use, but can also be used to stimulate the clitoris (although there is a separate category of toys designed for this purpose, shown below). Vaginal vibrators tend to be tall and thin with a tapered tip. They may be designed differently, some appear more realistic than others.

For external clitoral contact, most people turn to bullet vibrators or clitoral vibrators. They are very similar, except the latter are usually larger and have stronger motors. Bullets are a great choice for beginners because they are compact, quiet, and small. In recent years, clit sucking toys have also become popular — products designed to replicate the sensation of oral sex by using air and pulsations.

Specifically designed for external clitoral stimulation, the wand vibrator has a circular vibrating massage head that attaches to a long shaft (or wand). Since they are larger than most vibrators, the handles can accommodate larger motors, allowing them to produce deeper vibrations than bullets. They also cover a larger surface area than the tapered head of a bullet, which some say provides a more powerful orgasm

Often referred to as a bunny vibrator, a combo vibrator has two key parts: a spindle for internal use and a separate massager for stimulating the clitoris. This is usually the shape of a "rabbit" ear, hence the nickname. While this design remains the same, combo vibrators can come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and there are now a plethora of delicate and small options on the market.

G-spot vibrators are designed for internal use and have a curved tip to stimulate your G-spot—a term often used to describe the nerve clusters in the front of the vaginal wall. If you don't like the stimulation of this area, don't panic - everyone is different. It's notoriously tricky for women to orgasm solely through penetrative sex. According to research, only 18% of vaginal owners can do it, and most of them experience sexual pleasure primarily through clitoral stimulation.

These are considered vibrators for women, but you can also get vibrating prostate massagers for men.

How to choose a vibrator? Which features are important to you? Vibrators have a lot of bells and whistles: powerful vibrators, multiple vibration modes, waterproof toys, remote control vibrators, and more.

Sex toy material. Silica gel, TPE, jelly, etc. Each material has advantages and disadvantages.

Price: Last but not least, focus on toys that fit your budget. You might be surprised by how many quality products there are on the market, but amovibe's premium vibrators are so affordable.
